publicplan develops web- and open source-based software solutions for the public sector. In the area of e-government consulting we focus on Technology topics, where we can integrate our experience in developing software. With our innovative ideas we help to promote the digitalisation of the government administration.

Drupal Contributions

publicplan actively pushes the use of Drupal in the public sector by introducing it in consulting projects as well as software and web portal development, e.g.

  • We have accompanied the Government of Northrhine-Westfalia in a one-year-project to use Drupal for its main Portal https://land.nrw and many other sub-portals
  • We are improving accessability Features to match the German regulations (BITV)
  • We are extending the possibilities of using groups to administer the users of Drupal to match the needs of the public sector
  • We are adding public sector specific functionalities to Drupal in the form of modules (e.g. OER resource search engines or public librarys)
