The multitude of consulting services for people and their relatives in need of nursing is often confusing and makes it difficult to find the right point of contact. For this reason, the digital Nursing Guidance Portal was set up to provide support in North Rhine-Westphalia. The Nursing Guidance Portal is sponsored by the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, the state associations of care insurance funds in North Rhine-Westphalia and the Verband der Privaten Krankenversicherung e.V. (PKV). The sponsor is Verbraucherzentrale NRW e.V.
About the project
All information in one place
The Nursing Guidance Portal is the first in North Rhine-Westphalia to offer a variety of information on nursing possibilities. Those seeking advice can search the database in the portal for suitable advice centers or contact responsible offices in NRW.
Services provided by publicplan GmbH
In 2017, publicplan GmbH took over the design and technical implementation of the solution with Drupal.
We created and integrated three databases, ensuring the right amount of information. This was soon followed by the conception and development from an information portal to a more communication-oriented portal.
By completely overhauling the design and providing new content types for more targeted editorial maintenance, the usability and appearance of the site was significantly improved.
We are responsible for the ongoing development, maintenance and hosting of the Nursing Guidance Portal.
Different communication channels for users
The chatbot integrated on the Drupal website supports users in their nursing-related questions. The chatbot automatically answers a wide range of questions on the subject. The site also offers contact options via video chats, a contact form, an integrated forum, and several hotlines.
