Vinci Immobilier has retained Smile for the redesign of its showcase site www.vinci-immobilier.com towards Drupal and React. The subsidiary of the Vinci group is one of the main players in real estate development in France. Established throughout the country, Vinci Immobilier is present on the two main sectors of the market: residential real estate (housing and managed residences) and commercial real estate (offices, hotels, shops), thus targeting investors, both institutional and private. Vinci Immobilier also markets consulting and property management services through a dedicated division. It also operates senior and student residences through its subsidiaries Ovelia and Student Factory.
About the project
After a preliminary study with clients and prospects in partnership with Wexperience, the new Internet showcase offers strong advantages, such as the creation of a home page capitalising on the Group's strengths (the brand, Vinci Immobilier 4You commitments) and reinsurance elements sought by their prospects, a visualization of the real estate offer inspired by the leaders in the field (Airbnb, Booking, Se Loger, etc.), and the creation of a new website that will be a key element in the Group's strategy. ), a simplified reading of their price grids as well as detailed information on the accommodations and an engaging and personalized user experience involving the user thanks to virtual tours and the configurator for more immersion and emotion.
Why Drupal was chosen
Vinci Immobilier wanted to strengthen its web communication with the launch of a new website. More readable, more intuitive, the new site had to meet the new digital uses and expectations of their customers. As an essential entry point to seduce future customers wishing to buy new real estate, the website is of strategic importance to meet the new market standards and new uses.
Vinci immobilier therefore needed to set up a high-performance, mobile-first and secure web interface. That's why it was decided to implement a decoupled architecture using Drupal as backend server and the React framework for the frontend interface.
Technical Specifications
Drupal version:
Key modules/theme/distribution used:
- Search API + Elasticsearch Connector : The search engine was a important feature for the client.
- RESTful Web Services & REST UI : This is a full decoupled site, so we use REST and REST UI to manage some REST resources.
- Webform & Webform REST : Again, this is a full decoupled site, with a lot of forms. So the forms are managed by Webform on the back-office and there are sent to the front by an API call with Webform REST.
- Paragraphs : It is a nice way to manage the editorial content.
