Organizations Involved

VINCI Immobilier has decided to go digital at all levels, and is consequently reworking all its processes.

At the heart of the intermediated sale, the VI2P extranet is the tool dedicated to specifiers, used by VINCI Immobilier's partners to consult and sell the offer to their prospects.

VINCI Immobilier's Commercial Department, to which the Development and Partnerships Department (VI2P) reports, wanted to upgrade this application to make up for several shortcomings:

  • An aging interface (the site is 6 years old), not adapted to mobile terminals.
  • A lack of technical reliability denounced by prescribers
  • Deficiencies in content management for commercial animation
  • Missing functionalities, requiring manual reprocessing by the internal staff.

In addition, faced with the multiplication of digital projects and their strategic challenges for the company, the Information Systems Department of VINCI Immobilier wishes to implement the necessary low costs for their realization and their sustainability:

  • By deploying a layer of intermediation guaranteeing the security and performance of digital interfacing with the information system.
  • By sharing the management of content published on websites
  • By setting up steering methodologies adapted to digital projects

About the project

The challenges of the VI3P project are as follows:

  • A complete redevelopment of the existing site, maximizing the user experience and enabling VINCI Immobilier to play a leading role in the intermediated sale of real estate on the French market.
  • The online release of a first batch that is reliable, robust, durable and with a high business value.
  • The ability to address the needs of both external and internal users.
  • The implementation of the technological bricks and interfacing with the VINCI Immobilier IT system with a view to a bi-modal and digital-ready IT architecture.

Why Drupal was chosen

VINCI Immobilier wishes to develop and share a common base for its digital tools.

The vinci-immobilier.com website and another extranet being already based on a headless architecture (Drupal 8 as API Backend and front-ends in React and Angular), Smile and VINCI Immobilier decided to mutualize the developments and reuse the architecture realized for the institutional website.

Search API + Elasticsearch Connector : The search engine was a important feature for the client.

RESTful Web Services & REST UI : This is a full decoupled site, so we use REST and REST UI to manage some REST resources.
