Organizations Involved

The Iberian Electricity Market Operator (OMI) is structured in two holding companies, OMEL and OMIP SGPS. Each company owns part of the two management companies for the Iberian Peninsula's electricity market: OMIE manages the day-ahead and intraday market, and OMI-Polo Portugués (OMIP sgmr) manages the forward market. The managing companies also hold an interest in the company OMIClear-Sociedade de Compensação de Mercados de Energia, SA.

The OMI Group's main function is to manage the energy markets in the Iberian Peninsula, and its vision is to provide society in general with more complete information on the role that electric markets play in European integration.

Based on the same vision, the companies that make up the Iberian Electricity Market Operator (OMI) felt the need to unify the image and structure of their websites, having relied on JAVALI's vast know-how to develop and implement the multisite concept.

About the project

With the launch of its new websites, the Iberian Electricity Market Operator (OMI) intends to offer its potential and current users a better navigation experience and ensure total and intuitive accessibility for all users. its contents, both those of a corporate nature and the results of the markets.

The OMI Group website presents the group's mission, vision and values, its policies, or its commitment to sustainability and integrates the corporate information of parent companies (OMEL and OMIP SGPS), of market management companies (OMIE and OMIP SGMR), as well as the Clearinghouse and Central Counterpart (OMIClear) and OMEL Diversificación.

The website of the management company for the most transparent electric markets in the EU, OMIE, incorporates new features that allow users to have a simple way of all the data related to the spot market.

Finally, the websites of the derivatives markets, OMIP and OMICLEAR, readjusted their design and content structure in order to make available to all customers and users, all the relevant information on the forward market and the services provided by OMIClear.

The companies of the Iberian Electricity Operator have been satisfied with the work carried out by the wild JAVALI in the complete project for the renovation of their webs, which had to fit in addition to a very demanding calendar.
