MIBGAS is responsible for managing the Iberian Gas Market organized its right and proper operation and economic management of the services it offers, while respecting the principles, have the function of managing the negotiation sessions, list marketable products, receive and manage bids and offers sale and expose the results of the resources in the market.

The energy environment of the 21st century is characterized by the tendency to replace traditional fossil fuels with another type of energy, such as gas, being a cleaner and more competitive energy source, due to its lower level of greenhouse gas emissions and its price competitiveness.

The “European Target Model”, a single energy market is a reference for many European countries, whose principles of transparency, impartiality and price independence, reveal the basis for the constitution of the Iberian Gas Market Operator, MIBGAS.

Currently, the efficient management of companies is an essential factor, highlighting their know-how in the market. Bearing in mind this efficient corporate management among the companies that make up the MIBGAS group, the need arises to consolidate its web presence, bearing in mind its commitment to reaching the highest standards, both with regard to the quality of the services it offers , as in the way of being and acting.

About the project

With the launch of its new website, the Operator Gas Iberian Market (MIBGAS) aims to provide all users a experience  browsing more accessible and direct in the search for information necessary for this purpose, and that ensures total and intuitive accessibility to all its contents, both those of a corporate nature and in terms of market results.

The MIBGAS website presents the most significant information about MIBGAS and MIBGAS Derivatives, such as its Code of Ethics and Conduct, updated and adapted to the highest standards of good corporate governance, which ensures the integrity and quality of service of the companies that integrate the MIBGAS group, as the configuration of its boards of directors and its shareholders. Other relevant content for users are the explanatory sections on the Organized Gas Market and the Guarantees Manager, as well as all the legislation and regulations in force regarding these two themes and the section on market results.

The MIBGAS, as responsible for the centralized management of guarantees, such as the hiring of guarantees for infrastructure capacity, guarantees of participation in the Gas Organized Market and guarantees for imbalances solution provides on its website all the necessary and respective information inscription so that the user can register as an agent in the gas market.

MIBGAS now has a new and modern public web, a job that we have developed with JAVALI, to which we thank you for the delivery and professionalism to achieve the result obtained, as we are very satisfied and that reflects one of our new principles. performance: transparency in information.

Why Drupal was chosen

The following features were highlighted in this project:

  • The creation of a multilingual website, with 3 languages: Spanish, English and Portuguese;
  • The creation of a menu structure tailored to MIBGAS, whose main menu consists of: “Iberian Gas Market”, “Guarantee management”, “Legislation”, “Press Room”, “Publications”, “Training” and "Company Information". And the footer menu consists of: "FAQs", with the most frequently asked questions and answers received by MIBGAS, "Contacts" and "Useful links";
  • The creation of various types of content and taxonomies,with a content organization based also on simplification criteria, which aim to make the search for the necessary information more accessible and direct;
  • The presence of forms so that all interested companies can register to be able to trade natural gas and LNG products and manage bilateral OTC operations;
  • The creation of the Guarantee Manager for the Spanish gas system;
  • The creation of the section “Market results”, which combines the development of eight graphic subdivisions, containing the history of each of the concepts, within an interval of 366 days, with an attractive image and where all the relevant information of the Iberian Gas Market, such as daily MIBGAS prices, prices and volumes per trading session, regulated gas prices and volumes, the registration of OTC transactions, market participants, the price index and volume of the trading day gas and reference prices for imbalance rates;
  • The media module was integrated, allowing for better organization / search of images, documents and files, allowing the possibility of using a file in various types of content and ensuring the migration of all content.
  • The backoffice has been parameterized to MIBGAS, in order to grant full autonomy to the communication teams/information systems in the creation and editing of contents, colors, labels and translations;
  • Usability is another important factor, to be an intuitive and portal user-friendly;
  • Responsive Web Design: adaptation of the portal for viewing on various devices (PC, tablets and smartphones);
  • Security, with data privacy (GDPR) and its performance.
