France Express is a leading express delivery company, providing next-day delivery by 1 PM across France for a wide range of packages, including medical supplies, animals, car parts, and more. A PARKER+PARKER client for the past 7 years, France Express decided to undertake a full website redesign in 2022.
About the project
Project Challenges
While we remained on Drupal for its known advantages, the decision was also influenced by the fact that the parent company's ecosystem, which we also developed, runs on Drupal. There was no intention to create a multisite platform for this project, but maintaining consistency across platforms was key.
The website was developed using Acquia Site Studio, making it the first project we delivered on Drupal 10. A complete overhaul of the UX/UI was carried out to modernize the site, ensuring a more intuitive and user-friendly experience. However, certain critical features, such as the delivery deadline map, needed to be retained to meet the company's operational needs.
Solutions Provided
- Development on Drupal 10: France Express became the first site we developed using Drupal 10, ensuring that the platform would be future-proof and benefit from the latest features.
- Full UX/UI redesign: We undertook a complete revamp of the user experience and interface, offering a more streamlined, intuitive interface while maintaining the essential functionalities of the previous site.
- Delivery map retention: We ensured that important features like the delivery deadline map were seamlessly integrated into the new design.
- Partial data migration: A partial recovery of over 100 agency profile pages was achieved through a custom import/export script, allowing us to transfer critical data efficiently without manual input.

Why Drupal was chosen
Drupal was chosen to align with the technology stack of the parent company. Even though the codebases are not shared, using the same technology allowed us to streamline certain processes. On multiple occasions, we were able to fix bugs for both platforms at the same time, delivering more efficiency and faster resolution across the ecosystem.
