Organization Summary
Meet Greater London Authority
The Greater London Authority is home to the Mayor of London and the London Assembly.
The Mayor of London sets the budget and is responsible for making London a better place for everyone who visits, lives or works in the city. The Mayor is elected every four years. The current Mayor Sadiq Khan elected in May 2016.
The job of the 25 London Assembly Members - elected at the same time as the Mayor - is to examine decisions and actions to ensure promises to Londoners are delivered. The Assembly holds the Mayor and Mayoral advisers to account by publicly examining policies and programmes through committee meetings, plenary sessions, site visits and investigations.
We launched a new website built with Drupal 7 in November 2015.
