About the project
Goals:
USBI intends to enhance their website by upgrading it to the latest version Drupal 10. This upgrade aims to bolster security against emerging threats, enhance the website's design, provide greater data management flexibility, optimize site performance, and offer users an improved, user-friendly experience with a fresh and modern look and feel.
Challenges/Requirements:
As per the client’s requirement, we need to upgrade the site to the latest Drupal 10 version and without any loss of Data. As the site is on Drupal 7 version whose architecture is totally different from the Drupal 10 and support for the modules is also limited in the Drupal 7 than Drupal 10. So to keep all the data without any functionality loss is a challenge.
Solution Delivered:
• We conducted a thorough analysis of the existing website and its modules, identifying deprecated components and data that needed manual transfer. Based on this analysis, we devised a comprehensive plan for the migration process.
• The Drupal 7 site was successfully migrated to the Drupal 10 version, ensuring a smooth transition and preserving essential data. We addressed any deprecated or missing data to ensure its integrity and availability in the updated website.
• A new, visually appealing and user-friendly January theme was implemented for the client which we have developed. This new theme enhanced the overall look and feel of the website, providing an engaging and modern design that aligns with current web design standards.
