Community contributions
In cooperation with Connecting Business initiatives a resource library module was created to create a knowledge hub of documents. Key features are faceted search and the integrations with sections from the landing pages.
The SDG Philanthropy platform is a global UNDP community dedicated to solving sustainable development goals. It builds the bridge between the UN, governments, and the private sector by encouraging collaboration and knowledge-sharing. Together they contribute to a plan of action for the planet, people, and prosperity.
About the project
SDG Philanthropy aims to contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals by bringing foundations and philanthropists together.
Why Drupal was chosen
Open Social/Drupal were chosen for this showcase because our existing features included many of the functionalities they were looking for, which meant that more energy could be put into customizing the platform according to the their wishes.
This community spans across various countries, each with their own initiatives. This means the platform has to support various sections that contain a wide variety of information. Due to our flexible open source software, we were able create graphically-stunning country pages that had featured their own compelling story and workplace.

For the country pages we used bricks in combination with the ECK and entity inline form modules to allow content managers to easily construct a page in different sections that are displayed in a visually appealing manner. Challenges were to integrate a Kumo interaction map in these page sections and a section that can highlight different entities from the community platform.
