Organizations Involved

The organization chose us for managing Drupal-based knowledge management projects because of our expertise which resulted in our selection as NISZ's preferred vendor to merge their separate internal knowledge base systems. The successful partnership allowed us to design a unified knowledge platform that enhanced operational efficiency and improved organizational knowledge management.

About the project

A complete migration and integration plan was developed to build a unified knowledge management solution that offered efficient security.

We initiated a successful transition of various content types into one centralized Drupal-based knowledge management system. Multiple document formats underwent seamless conversion to enable structured data organization and better accessibility during the migration process. The implementation of administrative IT infrastructure integration included Single Sign-On (SSO) functionality to handle user authentication efficiently while meeting the stringent security requirements.

We modified the Drupal group module to manage hundreds of user groups with multiple permission layers and thousands of users thereby enhancing performance and responsiveness. Advanced search capabilities utilized SOLR combined with Apache Tika for improved content discovery across various file types.

NISZ

Security was prioritized by integrating ClamAV antivirus software, scanning every file uploaded to the platform to prevent the spread of infected documents. We established a multi-stage content approval workflow alongside comprehensive notification systems for content validation which included cross-referencing and commenting before publication.

Users could generate knowledge materials for reporting and archival needs through versatile export functions which produced PDF and XLS files when required. We implemented full monitoring and logging systems to guarantee system reliability while following security standards.

Results and Impact

The centralized NISZ Tudásbázis improved operational efficiency through its provision of structured secure and relevant information which users could access quickly. When knowledge resources merged into a single unified system it resulted in reduced operational costs and maintenance expenses and simplified administrative tasks which increased organizational efficiency.

NISZ

Why Drupal was chosen

The internal knowledge repository system of NISZ operated through multiple formats including Confluence pages, Microsoft documents, Excel sheets, PDFs which caused various management issues. The accumulation of about one hundred thousand distinct data sources made it increasingly difficult for users to find relevant information promptly and efficiently. The organization spent excessive resources on operational and maintenance expenses while facing complex management systems which created negative user interactions. Due to its responsibility to handle extremely sensitive information the platform needed strict implementation procedures which followed national security regulations.
