Sector(s)
Georgia Capital (LSE: CGEO) is a prominent investment company listed on the London Stock Exchange, specializing in acquiring, developing, and managing businesses in Georgia's fastest-growing sectors. As a publicly traded entity, Georgia Capital required a website that not only adhered to strict regulatory guidelines for publishing public reports and documents but also served as an informative and engaging platform for current and prospective investors and shareholders.
Omedia partnered with Georgia Capital to develop a modular, user-friendly website built on Drupal. The new platform enhances investor engagement, ensures compliance with regulatory standards, and provides the flexibility needed for dynamic content management.
About the project
Project Goals and Challenges
Georgia Capital needed a website that would:
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Adhere meticulously to strict guidelines for publishing public reports and documents.
- Enhance Investor Engagement: Provide an informative platform with easy access to financial reports, announcements, and interactive tools.
- Offer Modular Flexibility: Allow content managers to frequently create and modify pages using a set of customizable components.
- Manage Diverse Content Types: Handle a wide array of content—such as reports, regulatory documents, news, and presentations—with specific access controls and user agreements.
- Provide Advanced Search Capabilities: Enable efficient navigation through over 15 years of archived content.
- Integrate Interactive Features: Include tools like a Net Asset Value (NAV) calculator and a private event registration system.

Our Approach
To address these challenges, Omedia harnessed the full potential of Drupal to create a tailored solution for Georgia Capital. We began by focusing on modular content creation. Utilizing Drupal's Paragraphs module, we developed a suite of reusable content components. This allowed Georgia Capital's content managers to build custom pages with ease, much like assembling slides in a PowerPoint presentation. They could mix and match different layouts and elements without any technical assistance.
We leveraged Drupal's core entity model and the flexibility of view modes to handle various entities such as reports, regulatory documents, announcements, news, presentations, and many more. Some of these materials required specific access controls and user agreements before viewing, including approval flows based on the user's country of location.
Enhancing the site's search capabilities was essential for navigating over 15 years of archived content. We implemented the Search API module to index and search through documents efficiently.

Preserving historical data was paramount, so we utilized Drupal's Migrate module ecosystem to seamlessly transfer thousands of content elements from the old legacy website. The migration process maintained the integrity of the data while updating it to fit within the new site's structure and design.
One of the standout features is the complex Net Asset Value (NAV) Calculator for investors. Thanks to Drupal's flexibility, we integrated this interactive tool directly into the website via a mini React app. Investors can adjust valuations like LTM multiples or share prices, and the calculator updates in real-time using numbers ingested from LSE data providers. Other variables and logic for the calculator are configurable through the admin interface, giving Georgia Capital full control over the tool's functionality.
Additionally, we built a private event registration system on top of Drupal's Webform module with advanced customizations. This system allows site managers to send out invitations, gather RSVPs, and enable partners to self-register for the annual Investor Day event. The Webform module's flexibility, combined with our customizations, provided a secure and efficient way to manage these important events.
Outcome and Impact
The project was completed with a dynamic website that exceeded Georgia Capital's requirements. By ensuring accurate and timely publication of essential documents, the site fully complies with regulatory standards crucial for a publicly traded company. Investors now benefit from an enhanced user experience, with interactive tools like the NAV calculator and improved access to a wealth of information.
Content managers are empowered to create and update pages rapidly through the modular system we implemented. This agility reduces operational overhead and accelerates the time-to-market for new content.
The new platform strengthens Georgia Capital's investor relations by enhancing communication with investors and partners. The integrated tools and streamlined event management processes facilitate better engagement and foster stronger relationships.
The scalable foundation provided by Drupal ensures that the website can grow and adapt alongside Georgia Capital. As the company expands or as regulatory requirements change, the platform can be updated and extended without the need for a complete overhaul.

Why Drupal was chosen
Drupal was selected for its exceptional flexibility, scalability, and robust content management capabilities—critical features for meeting the stringent regulatory requirements of a publicly traded company. Its modular architecture allows for the creation of reusable content components, enabling non-technical content managers to build and customize pages efficiently.
Drupal's powerful content modeling and taxonomy systems made it possible to handle a diverse range of content types, ensuring they are searchable, indexable, and consistently presented across the site. Drupal's extensibility facilitated the integration of complex interactive tools and features essential for investor relations.
