Organizations Involved

Capriolo.com is a Balkan leader for bicycles production. They have a big network of retail sports centers, the website with catalog and wholesale portal for B2B customers. It is a complex organization with, production, sales, marketing etc.

About the project

The main goal was to combine all the services into one seamless system. To automate all that is reasonable to be automated. To present to the visitors the most accurate information on prices, stock levels, and where they can buy bicycles today.
Our job was to:

  • Redesign old site
  • Make the more user-centric version of the site
  • Complete redesign of old mobile experience
  • Integrate site with ERP software (prices, stock level, retail availability)
  • Integrate site with webshop totalbike.rs

Redesign old site

As we grow as a person and as a whole team we more and more cared about user experience.

The main goal was to tackle all the parts where users have interactions or where they are seeking the pieces of information and to optimize that experience for most of the devices.

We completely rearranged the category menu with smart breadcrumb navigation. Users will always know in which category he is and what are the parent categories.

Without a need to go inside every product, users can see is the product available or whether the product is on some sales promotion.

Integrate site with ERP software (prices, stock level, retail availability)

We made the live synchronization with ERP software based on JSON files.

Every 10 minutes the data are synchronized between a site and EPR software. This is done for more than 50.000 products.
Every product has multiple stock levels (it can be listed in more than 20 stores) or available for purchase through the webshop.

Site administrators can make sales for a large group of products with the easy .csv upload. They can determine which product on which promotion with what price will be presented to the customers.

Integrate site with webshop totalbike.rs

Capriolo.com have its own webshop for selling stuff online. The totalbike.rs is webshop in sync with capriolo.com They are fed from the same database about prices, stock levels, and promotions.

When a user finds a product on the capriolo.com he or she can choose where to buy the product. They will have information about availability in their city or if there is no retail store in their town they can buy online from totalbike.rs

Outcome

With every new website version, we are seeing greater numbers in visits, social activity, and purchases. This was the case with 2018 version also. Significant leap is present with every report.

We prepared the foundation for D8, this transition will happen most likely in 2020.

Why Drupal was chosen

This is the 5th version of Capriolo site since 2009. They are our client for almost one decade now. It was a logical step to make a site in Drupal because of previous versions and because we are Drupal agency.
