Baywood Greens just sounds like a place you want to retire โ and after a tour of this upscale golf course community in southern Delaware, you would agree. Set in Long Neck, Del., Baywood Greens features all of the pomp and circumstance retirees could ask for along the coast โ while still allowing for an affordable lifestyle: tree-lined streets, lush landscaping, brick walkways, a world-class golf course centerpiece that rolls out greens onto nearly every backyard in the community, along with its majestic clubhouse and restaurant, a marina with access to Rehoboth Bay and the Atlantic, and an active community association with a host of events for all who live at Baywood.
This dream community is the pride and joy, and under the ownership, of Tunnell Companies, founded by Robert W. Tunnell Sr., a respected longtime resident of Long Neck and owner of a handful of other companies that serve the area, from water filtration to recycling and waste disposal.
Although Baywood Greens was becoming a popular destination for golf, weddings, vacations and special events, and new construction and the sale of existing homes was booming, the website wasnโt as user-friendly and picture-perfect as the actual neighborhood.
About the project
The grounds of Baywood Greens itself may attract potential homebuyers, golfers and vacationers because of its magnifying curb appeal, but the website was in need of some cleanup to its online curb appeal.
As the previous agency of choice, when Tunnell Companies was in need of consolidating multiple CMS platforms across its five companies onto one Drupal platform, Inclind again was asked to streamline Baywood Greensโ site navigation overall. The previous navigation changed on different pages, which was confusing to visitors as they sifted through properties.
Additional goals Inclind was tasked with for this renovation project included beefing up the content throughout the site. While images were plentiful, content was light, which always proves to be an issue on the side of SEO. Baywood Greens also needed more powerful landing pages that would entice buyers to stick around for a while and peruse the amenities and inventory of available beautiful homes. The website also needed to be updated to accommodate a mobile audience, with a more responsive design and more engaging, more organized mobile experience.
Because we met โ even exceeded โ our goals, the newly revamped Baywood Greens website now reveals a more modern, streamlined design and navigation overall; a more standout, intriguing layout of landing pages that now piques better interest in shoppers; and a more eye-catching, more organized catalog of homes that showcases the beautiful content presentation it deserves.
Why Drupal was chosen
In an effort to keep within a budget but improve the user experience, the website stayed on its current platform of Drupal 7 which also facilitates a Salesforce integration.
