This module extends the features of Media: YouTube by providing an access to the YouTube Data API (v3) giving access to some metadata like: published date, views count, duration.
It provides a file formatter to cache and display thumbnail and metadata of a video (see capture) like what is present on YouTube homepage.
This is not a replacement for Media: YouTube module, it is a sandbox to test YouTube API v3.
The YouTube Data API (v2) has been officially deprecated as of March 4, 2014. The next version is the v3.
