This release fixes an issue for users upgrading from earlier releases, who never used 8.x-2.x. The release also reverts support for a new feature that was added to 9.3, but was reverted in 9.3.0 at the last minute.

This release is compatible with Drupal 8.9, 9.2 and 9.3.

Users upgrading from earlier releases, who never used an 8.x-2.x release, will have to apply 2 database updates.

How to upgrade from 8.x-2.x

To upgrade from 8.x-2.x, please update to 8.x-2.8 first. Once you have applied the database changes, you should be able to upgrade to 8.x-3.x at any time.

Core compatibility and expected end of life

Branch Core compatibility Expected end of life
8.x-3.x 8 and 9 EOL of Drupal 8.9 (expected November 2021)
Extended: September 12, 2022 or later
4.x.y 9 only to be decided

Disclaimer: EOL dates for branches are provided as a service to the community so that you can plan ahead and upgrade in time. They reflect our current plans. Unforeseen issues may arise at any time, that may result in a branch being unsupported earlier than expected. We will do our best to prevent this, though.
