elasticsearch_connector 8.x-7.0-alpha7

Two weeks ago, when I made the 8.x-7.0-alpha6 release, I anticipated that it would break a lot of patches. I wanted to make it as easy as possible for people to upgrade after all the breaking changes, so I fixed merge conflicts in ~57 issues in the queue.

I also wanted to wait a few weeks before making another release with new features and bugfixes, in order to give the community a bit of time to adjust to the changes: besides patches in the public queue, I suspect many people maintain internal patches as well.

This release has only a few changes, but the change in [#3183164] seems to change code that affects a number of other patches in the queue, so I think it's important to get it released soon, in order to make patching easier for everyone. Also, [#3506266] seems to cause issues for a number of people.

Note that this is an alpha release, and therefore not stable! See the Help wanted section below for more on what you can do to help stabilize this module.

There are a number of issues that the maintainers would like to be able to merge, but we cannot until they have tests: any help here would be greatly appreciated!

Please keep in mind that the maintainers will find it much easier and faster to review, merge, and release your issue(s) if you ensure that the issue summary follows the template, and any code changes are accompanied by tests that check all code-paths.
