Community contributions

The Paragraphs-based approach further solidified some of the work for the Stories module.

URI is a global grassroots interfaith network that cultivates peace and justice by engaging people to bridge religious and cultural differences and work together for the good of their communities and the world. Their website is a primary tool for communicating with their audience globally. URI needed a user-centered architecture and compelling design to effectively communicate their unique role in facilitating peaceful conflict resolution all over the world.

About the project

Goals for the project included:

  • To increase visibility for URI as the largest global grassroots network of interfaith peacebuilders working to address social issues in 21 regions around the world.
  • Ensure URI’s long-term sustainability by driving donations.
  • Create a more vibrant, accessible and connected global network by effectively guiding users to critical content throughout the website.

Why Drupal was chosen

URI was migrating their website from a proprietary, closed-source product that hadn’t adapted effectively to their needs. They sought an open source solution that would both provide the features they require today as well as offer long-term flexibility well into the future. Further, URI sought to integrate some content types with its Sales Force implementation in order to reduce repeat work and the opportunity human error, supporting a “Create Once Publish Everywhere (COPE)” architecture across its digital platforms.
