Tekwill is implemented by Moldovan Association of ICT Companies (ATIC) in partnership with Technical University of Moldova (UTM).

Tekwill entrusted Indrivo with a huge challenge – to change the status quo for online learning in Moldova. “Tekwill in Every School” initiative is aiming to provide all schools in Moldova the opportunity to access a free e-Learning platform and benefit from an innovative, online curriculum, as well as, stay connected to all Tekwill’s educational resources and opportunities.

About the project

Goal

The platform is aimed to provide online courses for students aged between 13-19 years old, teachers, education leaders, parents and educational influencers. It should be accessible in 3 languages, Romanian, Russian and English and support simultaneously 10,000+ online learners at any time. The platform should support several authoring tools such as webinars, video conferencing, live meetings, chats, gamification, badges and certifications.

Primary functions of the platform will be:

  • Informative; inform visitors about all Tekwill’s programs and initiatives delivered to schools in Moldova.
  • Educational: take courses online with regard to tech professions of the future.

Solution

To manage this complex project, our team followed an Agile Scrum methodology. One of the main requirements of the customer was high performance, because for them it was important that the solution simultaneously support a large number of users. The design concepts of the solution were created in cooperation with the customer’s experts and Indrivo business analysts. The implementation of the project is done using Drupal Opigno LMS, a core system with narrow functionalities, flexible building blocks and APIs to create a custom e-learning system that consists of a platform for delivering e-Learning to the learners and a Reporting module for measuring the results.

The gamification feature assumes getting certificates to motivate the learners. The system empowers teachers to create custom courses and execute management processes of education by creating various types of content, tracking online assessment and generating certificates.

The solution supports a wide range of browsers and operational systems (MAC, Linux and Windows browsers), with page optimization for mobile resolutions.

Results & Benefits

After extending the platform in ways we didn't think possible at first, we are very proud of the end product, we delivered an exceptional online learning experience, completely different from the traditional learning methods. Indrivo developed a powerful custom e-Learning solution with an attractive interface and advanced functions. The e-learning platform has a clean user-friendly structure and navigation, as well as, a responsive design that fits any device and format. The learners have a first-hand experience of the platform and its innovative learning process.
