SouthCare has built its reputation as a distinct alternative to traditional Atlanta funeral homes. They provide cremation and funeral services that are professional, compassionate and attentive, while offering their clients, affordable options for cremations or funeral arrangements.
About the project
Improving the website’s administrative capabilities for easily managing products, users and orders was the primary goal of the project. To make this happen, we had to tweak the existing provisions and add additional management provisions.
Challenges:
After choosing Drupal, we had to customize the existing framework of the platform to bolt in business-specific requirements of Southcare. We zeroed in on a few custom modules which had to be personalized to perform smooth in the website’s technical environment.
Why Drupal was chosen
This project required a high level of customization especially for managing products, users and orders. We concluded that Drupal could be an apt solution as the framework offers out-of-the-box features for the requirements of the clients. This meant that we could make use of the existing features of Drupal. As Drupal is highly accommodative, it can be customized wherever necessary which makes on-the-go improvisation a breeze.

Commerce Fee: The Commerce Fee module helps in adding an ‘Additional Fee’ module to an order. Since the website already had different types of fees, this module helped in differentiating the additional fee easily.
Manual Crop: The ‘Manual Crop’ module, as the name suggests, enables users to manually crop images. In order to bestow users an easy way to upload images, we placed this module using which, users could crop images to any preferred size before uploading.
Arrange Online: The ‘Arrange Online’ module allows users to provide personal details, product and location preferences for the cremation services. Moreover, users will also be hinted about the location-specific tax that will be added to the bill. Our developers custom-developed this module to cater to all the planning requirements related to cremation.
Commerce BluePay: The ‘BluePay’ mediates online credit card payments. We integrated this module into the website to provide an additional payment option to checkout.
