Dofinity is a leading Drupal development agency in Israel. Founded in 2007, we have grown to become the "go-to" Drupal agency in the country as we have created some of the greatest Drupal projects ever seen in Israel, working with a range of high-profile organizations across different sectors.
As from 2015, we are officially providing Drupal services for organizations in Europe and the US as well.

Yad Hanadiv is one of a kind organization - possibly the biggest philanthropic fund in Israel, the front window of the Rothschild family’s huge contribution to the Israeli society and with a DNA of pure perfection and uttermost precision. So a major challenge was how to re-invent the digital experience of the organization to genuinely echo the above heavy-weight impact?
About the project
Looking back, acknowledging the guiding principles of the analysis process there were 2 of them:
“Pareto is dead. Long live perfection.” That is the organization mindset and way of operation thus its digital reflection should not differ. Less is more. As cliche as it sounds, that was a substantial driving idea.
Functional and visual design process was quite a ride. We’ve iterated time and again. Cycles of brain storming, envisioning, sketching and reviewing. There is a build-in tension between having a unique user experience which stands-out and a simple user experience suggesting intuitive interface.
Achieving both goals takes being bold and sensible at the same time. The team had got it right. Once the concept was clear a prototype has been built ensuring the UX feasibility. Performance was still a bit legging but we were certain we can overcome that.
Implementation was done using Drupal 8 as the CMS and template engine, and a combination of JS solutions that all together will fulfill the UX vision.

Performance
From the early stages of this project, once we understood the number of media assets it will incorporate, it came clear to us that a high-performance approach is a crucial factor for success.
Drupal has enabled us to quickly configure and fully control a responsive image style mechanism that made sure each image is loaded in the exact size needed for its context.
Security
The organization IT posed as of the very start of the project a very clear and strict security standards. To us it was an easy one - meeting high security standards requires an open source foundation which was built from the ground up with security in mind - Drupal.
Flexibility
Seeking perfection means getting it right 100% not less. From technological point of view it means the developers must have enough flexibility and freedom to be able to reach the desired outcome. Drupal is a killer OS foundation allowing exactly that - building any digital experience you may dream of not only at the very begging of the project but also down the road as well.
