Pulsafeeder, Inc., is a leading manufacturing company within the Fluid & Metering Technologies Business Segment of IDEX Corporation’s global enterprise, which employs 7,000 people operating in more than 20 countries.
Leveraging an opportunity to develop a web presence that no longer needed to be shared with an affiliated division, Pulsafeeder partnered with Promet Source on the redesign of its website and migration from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8.
Key among the objectives: closer alignment of the site with marketing initiatives, stronger lead capture capabilities, enhanced opportunities for contact with prospects and customers, an updated user experience, clear positioning of the company as a market leader, and a sharper focus on end users within industries served.
The redesigned Drupal 8 website represented a significant leap forward in demonstrating Pulsatron’s technological leadership, with features that included three-dimensional product images and the enabling of video streaming. The upgrade to a new content management system has also empowered content editors to easily make revisions and updates to the site whenever needed. From a sales and business development standpoint, a key advantage of the new site involves new capabilities for capturing contact information from customer and prospect inquiries, which is serving as the foundation of a new customer relationship management system.
About the project
Goals
- The site needed to position Pulsatron as a premium, high-end solution within the market.
- Better navigation was needed to help customers find what they were looking for on the site.
- Updated and enhanced customer experiences with the website were sought as a means to improve both lead generation and market perception of the Pulsatron brand.
- Imagery and graphics focused on industries served vs. actual customers.
- An easier to manage content management system was needed to ensure the ability to efficiently respond to the market and make changes and updates to the site as necessary.
- Website functionality needed to be switched from a system that routed inquiries directly to independent, local sales managers to one that captured the data from all leads.
Outcomes
- Striking website visuals, which included three-dimensional product images, help to reposition the brand by reinforcing Pulsatron’s market leadership and technological edge.
- A streamlined user experience, the enabling of video streaming within content pages, and effective calls to action, have created a more engaging user experience.
- Incorporating a redesign into the migration has efficiently optimized the entire initiative by ensuring alignment among the website’s visuals, messaging, and functionality.
- Research into comparable and competitive industry websites informed differentiation and enhancements that were particularly relevant and meaningful to the target audience
- Drupal Layout Builder created a flexible framework for non technical content editors to make revisions as needed.
- A new contact form on the website is capturing information from all visitors who request information. This data is now serving as the basis for a new customer relationship management system.
Why Drupal was chosen
