Visit the site
Visit the siteOuch(UK) is the leading worldwide charity dedicated to helping sufferers of the devastating condition of Cluster Headache.
We've been working with OUCH since 2006 - before we started to use Drupal in fact. Since then we have built them a site using Drupal 6 and CiviCRM and recently upgraded their site to Drupal 7 and CiviCRM 4.7.
The current site allows users to join and donate online through forms integrated with CiviCRM. Users are automatically granted privileges to post to the forums, users can also update their own contact and renewal details which saves admin staff a lot of time. The backend is all managed by OUCH's part time helpers with technical support from Turtlereality from time to tome.
About the project
The goal of the project initially was to take an extremely overworked excel spreadsheet and make some sense of the data. OUCH(uk) is a member based organization but they were starting to lose track of their members for want of a functional member database. CiviCRM and Drupal have provided this solid base. members can now renew online and that has generated extra revenue for the charity.
Why Drupal was chosen
The extremely powerful combination of Drupal and CiviCRM was ideal for this client, it gives them a really solid foundation to grow their organization and do the really important work of supporting people suffering with cluster headaches.
