About the project
Goals
The first goal of the project was to provide a very simple UI experience. Client wanted to keep their site as simple and user friendly as possible. This was a challenge, given the added complexity of dealing with users' prescriptions.
Responsiveness
In order to keep the conversion rate as high as possible, the responsiveness of the site was also very important. This too can be a challenge on educational sites, which have dynamic content changes on regular intervals as these tend to highly depend on high-resolution photography and lengthy contents.
Why Drupal was chosen
Drupal was chosen because of its wide variety of contributed modules and its scalable architecture and its vibrant development community. Drupal and Wordpress where the top cms options. For a client which are not really from a technical background like the flexibility and power that Drupal provided over the out of the box functionality and you can create a interactive website in a month.
Technical Specifications
Drupal version:
We used the "corporateclean" theme as it is really clean and good theme. Though we customized the theme for the changes required as per client requirement. We had used the following modules also:
1. Youtube - We used the module to integrate the youtube videos in the website.
2. event calendar - We used calendar module for event calendar.
3. ckeditor - We used this module for content editing.
4. colorbox - We used this module to show large image in popup with nice effect.
We used few more modules for specific purpose which we found good to use as per our requirement in the project.
