The Innovation Hub is a community where experts from everywhere collaborate to tackle NATO challenges and design solutions. It is the engine of the NATO Innovation Network, federating national entities leveraging open innovation. It operates the NATO Innovation Lab.
Inclind is engaged with NATO in an ongoing contract for Drupal services and support and was brought in to upgrade the website and refresh the theme.
About the project
The Supreme Allied Commander Transformation division of NATO wanted to upgrade the Innovation Hub to the current version of Drupal and refresh the theme while retaining functionality. Using the atomic design methodology, the Inclind team updated the design of the website’s content types and revised the header, footer and home page layout. The Gutenberg content editor was integrated to give administrators more content control. The result is a cleaner, fast-loading website running on the Drupal 8 platform.
Why Drupal was chosen
The Innovation Hub was originally on Drupal 7 so the project required an upgrade and migration to Drupal 8.
