About the client:

i4HB, Associate Laboratory Institute for Health and Bioeconomy, is the result of the strategic partnership between three research units: Institute of Bioengineering and Biosciences (iBB), the Institute for Systems Engineering and Computers - Microsystems and Nanotechnologies (INESC-MN) and the Applied Biomolecular Sciences Unit (UCIBIO), based on solid scientific and technological skills in the emerging and priority areas of Health and Bioeconomy.
This consortium was recognised with the status of Associated Laboratory by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), and intends to contribute to national and international public policies through the dissemination of four Thematic Lines (TL) of research, such as the platform for the discovery and development of medicines, diagnostics and advanced therapies, human health and environmental safety and the valorisation of bio-resources and production of bioproducts.

About the project

The i4HB has a pioneering vision, the knowledge, the specialized resources and the necessary infrastructures to proliferate in the national and international vanguard of science, in this context, as a starting point of its strategy it felt the need to create its website, available for consultation at https://i4hb-la.pt/.

In the press release, Institute for Health and Bioeconomy (i4HB) said:  "It was a pleasure to develop the i4HB Associate Laboratory website in partnership with Javali. In all phases of the project, Javali was always very available and flexible, responding quickly to our requests. We highlight the professional and nice team. The result matched our expectations."

Why Drupal was chosen

This is another research project, with enormous potential, that JAVALI had the pleasure of participating with the latest version (9) of the CMS (Web Content Management System) Drupal.
In order to offer an easily updatable solution with a navigation without complexity for the user, a tailored site was developed to i4HB.
Of the proposed features and requirements, we highlight the possibility of creating and managing content intuitively, the possibility of importing publications in bulk, accessibility for people with visual difficulties and a design that adapts (responsive) to various devices (desktop, tablets and smartphones) with a focus on usability.
