Home Is Possible is a program of the Nevada Housing Division. As a division of the Department of Business and Industry, they are proud of revitalizing neighborhoods and strengthening communities throughout the state by making homeownership possible. Home is Possible (HIP) For First-Time Homebuyers offers interest-free down-payment assistance with a competitive interest rate to give buyers more buying power. They envision a Nevada where all residents will be able to access safe, clean, affordable homes.

About the project

  • The website data migration from Drupal 7 to 9 had been done smoothly. It had a custom dashboard initially built on PHP 5.6; we’ve upgraded it to PHP 8.1 as it is integrated with Drupal database.

  • We performed a website ADA automated and manual audit; and remediated website design as per WCAG 2.1 AA.

WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance website

  • We have integrated Today’s Rate for showing or calculating daily mortgage Rate, FICO credit score, down payment assistance, and Second Mortgage based on their programs. Due to Drupal’s flexibility, we have managed its complex structure with custom content type.

Todays Rate

  • We have integrated Find a lender functionality allows to find a lender by city or zip code. Initially, it shows a lender list based on your IP address.

Why Drupal was chosen

Home Is Possible's existing website was built on Drupal 7, and they wanted to upgrade to Drupal 9 for more security, extensibility, and flexibility. As a government organization, they had to meet minimal WCAG 2.1 AA website accessibility standards; and Drupal is constantly introducing new accessible components for easily ensuring it.
