Demeter is an international association for biodynamic agriculture. Demeter goes beyond the standards of conventional organic farming by integrating the principles of Rudolf Steiner's anthroposophy. These principles emphasize the holistic relationship between soil, plants, animals and humans.
Demeter-certified farms must adhere to strict guidelines, which include not using synthetic chemical fertilizers and pesticides and promoting biodiversity. In addition, attention is also paid to the use of homeopathic preparations and special cultivation methods such as the biodynamic calendar.
Demeter is considered to be one of the strictest organic certifications and is held in high regard by consumers worldwide, as it stands for the highest quality and sustainability. Products with the Demeter seal are very popular in many countries and are often regarded as premium products.
