Heavy investment in the Gutenberg module was a part of this project, to get a great editor experience when building content. Being the first ever production ready site using the module several bugs were fixed and contributed back to the module resulting in several of the Drupal Gutenberg beta releases.

A Gutenberg Cloud block was created as a contribution from this project was made. The block called Section and is for defining hero sections of a page that can include any other block that needs a separate background color responsively.

The Children's Cancer Society in Norway is an organization fighting cancer in children and giving the families the support they need. To spread the word and build out campaigns they needed a scalable landing page builder that would perform well. Frontkom did the design and development for the site, leading the process together with the organization.

The project is the very first production site using Drupal Gutenberg module.

About the project

The project scope for this first phase was quite small:

  • Design and build 1 landing page for the first campaign
  • Build 1 alternative landing page with slightly different content, based on customer journey step
  • High performance and scalability
  • Fully shareable content with proper Open Graph fields and other meta data
  • Fully responsive
  • Optional header and footer
  • Tracking with Datastudio reports to be shared within the organization

Why Drupal was chosen

We knew that future integrations would be needed and that UX part of the admin interface was a high priority. Drupal Gutenberg would provide a great editor experience and the needed flexibility for the campaign builder.

With an unspecified long term plan of building out web solutions for donations, advanced tracking, personalization and CRM like functionality we needed a solid and scalable foundation for the project.
