Chapter Three designed and built a visually stunning website for the Bay Area Video Coalition (BVAC). Targeted at a younger audience, the design highlights BVAC's colorful media and uses a streamlined architecture for ease of use. Mobile first, the website makes it easy for kids to sign up for classes on their phones.

About the project

The website needed to be a workhorse, providing quick and easy access to over 7,000 hours of media. Chapter Three designers and developers paid special attention to content organization, while reducing word counts and emphasizing visual elements.

We created reusable, structured blocks so BAVC content administrators have flexibility along with layout consistently. Admins donโ€™t have to know how to code, they can simply type or copy new content into reusable blocks.

Chapter Three also added new metadata taxonomies so that site admins can credit authors and associate videos with programs, making videos much more easily searchable.

Why Drupal was chosen

Chapter three migrated BVAC's content to Drupal 7, creating a new information architecture that makes it easy for users to sign up for classes, find jobs and donate to the organization. We also used Drupal to make it easy for administrators to update content regularly.

Why these modules/theme/distribution were chosen
